THE TRAUMA WHEEL

Domestic violence is a pervasive and deeply rooted issue that affects individuals and families across the globe. It encompasses various forms of abuse, such as physical, emotional, psychological, sexual, and financial abuse, perpetrated by one partner against another within an intimate relationship.

The consequences of domestic violence are severe, leading to physical injuries, emotional trauma, and sometimes even death. Addressing this issue requires a comprehensive understanding of the dynamics involved in abusive relationships, which is where tools like the Power and Control Wheel come into play.

Combating domestic violence requires awareness, education, and support systems that empower survivors to break free from the cycle of abuse. The Power and Control Wheel serves as an important educational resource, shedding light on the tactics used by abusers and emphasizing the need for a society that stands against domestic violence, supporting survivors on their journey to safety & healing.
