Barbara Ann Hall, Maureen Hinds, and Kim Raney to be Honored March 23 at the Covina Center for the Performing Arts


Barbara Ann Hall, Ph.D, Maureen Hinds, and Chief Kim Raney will be honored March 23, 2013 at a Dinner and Award Program at the Covina Center for the Performing Arts. Co-sponsored by the Covina Center for the Performing Arts and The Gas Company, the proceeds of the event will benefit the YWCA San Gabriel Valley's Intervale Senior Services Meals-on-Wheels Program and the WINGS Domestic Violence Program. The YWCA San Gabriel Valley is a nonprofit organization.

The event begins at 5:30 pm with a dinner with the honorees. Ticket Prices are $75 per person or $600 for a table of ten people. These tickets include appetizers, dinner, wine, and the Awards Program. The Awards Program is at 7:00 pm, and includes entertainment, live and silent auctions, and the awards presentations. Ticket Prices are $25 per person if you would like to attend the Awards Program only.

WINGS Tennis Classic May 3, 2013 at the Claremont Club


The 40th annual Tennis Classic fundraiser will be May 3, 2013 at the Claremont Club . An event not to be missed, the Tennis Classic raises funds to support critical services for domestic violence victims. This 40th annual event will be held at The Claremont Club (1777 Monte Vista Avenue, Claremont) on May 3, 2013, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

In addition to the fun of the tennis matches, the festivities will include a live auction as well as a silent auction set up courtside--featuring wine, concerts and relaxing vacation packages. Carefully selected vendors will provide for a fun shopping experience of champagne tasting, jewelry, designer purses, and clothing. At noon, tennis players will break from their games to enjoy a delicious lunch. During lunch, a Fashion Show will be held on the main tennis court.

To play in the round robin, tickets are $60. To attend the event for lunch and enjoy the festivities other than tennis, tickets are $30. The registration flyer can be downloaded HERE.

YWCA San Gabriel Valley Announces Honorees for

WOMEN OF ACHIEVEMENT IN THE FIELD OF EDUCATION


Covina, CA -- The YWCA San Gabriel Valley will be honoring extraordinary women and organizations who have impacted the field of education for the 2013 "Women of Achievement in the Field of Education: Honoring Passion, Dedication, and Achievement" awards event. Honorees will be guests of the YWCA San Gabriel Valley (YWCA SGV) at the Women of Achievement Awards dinner Tuesday evening, May 21, 2013, at the Pavilion in the Industry Hills Expo Center (16200 Temple Avenue, City of Industry).
